WEEK 17 OF THE MONEY MENTAL EARNINGS CHALLENGE – STAY ON TARGET!

Spread the love

Hello readers! And welcome to week 17 of the money mental earnings challenge! After enjoying a successul week last week I’m keen to see if I can maintain my progress and maybe hit my target early!

For those of you are unfamiliar with the challenge and what I’m trying to achieve you may want to start off by reading this post here.

The target is to make £430 a month to cover the costs of my car loan, car insurance, and road tax. Each week I will be reporting on my progress towards this monthly challenge. I’ll be using a variety of different sources to earn money details of which I’ve written about in this post here.

If you want to see how I did in the last week of the challenge you can find out by clicking here.

Each week I’ll give a breakdown of what I’ve earned and how I’ve earned it before. As previously mentioned my main source of income to support the challenge will be buying and selling goods on eBay so for reporting purposes I will include details of what items I sold on eBay, how much it cost me, how much I sold it for and how much profit I made after fees. The last figure will be rounded down to the nearest 50p for ease.

So here’s week 17!

ebay:

Corgi Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – cost £5 from a car boot sale as part of a bundle, sold for £16.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £6.50

Star Wars Storm Trooper Glass – cost £0.99 from Home Bargains, sold for £9.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £4.50

Rapidoguh new and sealed board game – cost £2 from a car boot sale, sold for an offer of £16 including shipping. Total profit after fees £9 (Could have sold this for more but after buying a new phone I’m keen to bring cash in).

Men’s weird fish t-shirt – cost £2.25 sold for an offer of £10.50 including shipping. Total profit after fees £3.50 (as above sold this low to bring in cash).

Wild Thornberrys VHS video – cost £0.05 as part of a bundle from another reseller (that I’m massively in profit on), sold for £6.49 including shipping. Total profit after fees £2.50

Pokemon plush – cost £5.99 from Home Bargains, sold for £27.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £11.50 (shipped to Germany hence high price achieved).

Shaun the Sheep figure – cost £0.15 as part of a bundle of figures, sold for an offer of £5.50 including shipping. Total profit after fees £1.50

XLS fat binder – cost £7.99 from Home Bargains, sold for £16.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £5

Disney Frustration Game – cost £4.99 from Home Bargains, finally sold for an offer of £10 including shipping. Total profit after fees £0.50. (This was a big fail, I picked it up thinking I’d get £14.99 at Christmas but there was no interest in it all so I was glad to see it go for a small profit).

Mickey Mouse Sunglasses – cost £1.50 from a charity shop, sold for £6.29 including shipping in a 10% off sale. Total profit after fees £2.50

Swissie Ultavite vitamins – cost £3.96 from Home Bargains, sold for £11.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £3.50

Nemesis Now Enchantress Figure – cost £2.49 from a charity shop, sold for £24.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £19. (Bit of a BOLO these figures – I could probably have gotten more but had no idea on the interest on these).

Butterfly Cottage Jigsaw – cost £2.50 from Sainsburys, sold for £12.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £5.50

Total eBay income £92.50 – not as much as I’d like but I had no sales day this week and hardly listed anything.

Facebook Income:

No Facebook sales this week.

Total Facebook income: £0.

Other Income:

BeMyEye £5

Qmee £0.58

Total other income £5.58

Week 17 Total Income: £98.08

Not a massively successful week for me financially in the challenge with me earning nearly half the previous weeks earnings. But as I was diverted with other projects and my main job this week I’m happy with the amount achieved. Adding this weeks total of £98.08 to this month’s running challenge total of £425.19 means I’ve yet again smashed the earnings challenge as I’m now at a total for the month of £523.27. With one more week to go I wonder how much more I can earn?

Thanks for reading!

Andrew
