Hello readers! And welcome to week 25 of the money mental earnings challenge! This week again sees me away with work for most of the week so sales have been slow! I’m also carrying over a deficit of £5.14 from last month which needs adding to the challenge target for this month and with me being away with work for large periods of the month April could present my biggest challenge yet!

For those of you are unfamiliar with the challenge and what I’m trying to achieve you may want to start off by reading this post here.

The target is to make £560 a month to cover the costs of my car loan, car insurance, road tax and newly accquired storage unit. Each week I will be reporting on my progress towards this monthly challenge. I’ll be using a variety of different sources to earn money details of which I’ve written about in this post here.

If you want to see how I did in the last week of the challenge you can find out by clicking here.

Each week I’ll give a breakdown of what I’ve earned and how I’ve earned it before. As previously mentioned my main source of income to support the challenge will be buying and selling goods on eBay so for reporting purposes I will include details of what items I sold on eBay, how much it cost me, how much I sold it for and how much profit I made after fees. The last figure will be rounded down to the nearest 50p for ease.

So here’s week 25!

eBay:

Elder Scrolls online PC game – cost £1.99 from Game. Sold for £8.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £4.

Star Wars bladebulders Rey blade – cost £2.75 from Morrisons, sold for an offer of £10. Total profit after fees £3.

Skullcandy headphones – cost £12 from TK Maxx, sold for £42.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £18 (shipped abroad so high shipping costs).

A bugs life PS1 game – cost £0.25 from a car boot sale, sold for £8.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £6.

FX Schmid butterfly cottage jigsaw – cost £2.50 from Sainsburys, sold for an offer of £20.50 including shipping. Total profit after fees £7.50
(shipped abroad so high shipping costs).

Lion Guard walkie talkies – cost £1.99 from the entertainer, sold for £8.99 including shipping. Total profit after fees £2.50.

Total eBay income: £41.

Facebook:

No income from facebook.

Total facebook income: £0.00

Other income:

Prolific Academic – £25.50

Branded Surveys £10.90

Total other income: £36.40

Week 25 total income: £77.40

An even worse week for sales than last week has only been rescued by generating money from other income sources. That means my challenge total for the month so far stands at £317.40. It just goes to show that being away from home definitely has a detrimental effect on sales and orders. Fingers crossed for some improvements in the challenge total next week!

Thanks for reading.

Andrew.
