Week 22 of the money mental earnings challenge – the month is over, but did I hit my target?

Spread the love

Hello readers! And welcome to week 22 of the money mental earnings challenge! This week sees the end of another month! But after a high value return earlier in the month will I hit my target? Read on to find out!

For those of you are unfamiliar with the challenge and what I’m trying to achieve you may want to start off by reading this post here.

The target is to make £560 a month to cover the costs of my car loan, car insurance, road tax and newly accquired storage unit. Each week I will be reporting on my progress towards this monthly challenge. I’ll be using a variety of different sources to earn money details of which I’ve written about in this post here.

If you want to see how I did in the last week of the challenge you can find out by clicking here.

Each week I’ll give a breakdown of what I’ve earned and how I’ve earned it before. As previously mentioned my main source of income to support the challenge will be buying and selling goods on eBay so for reporting purposes I will include details of what items I sold on eBay, how much it cost me, how much I sold it for and how much profit I made after fees. The last figure will be rounded down to the nearest 50p for ease.

Total Other Income: £0.86

Week 22 total income: £174.36

A strong finish to the month although I’m still not hitting my dream target of £200 a week. Adding this figure to the months total of £380.50 gives me a month end total of £554.86 so for the first time ever I’ve missed a monthly challenge target. However, I’ve only missed it by £5.14 which isn’t bad considering that I’ve upped the challenge target by £130 this month. The £5.14 will be added to next months challenge target as per the rules of the challenge which means that next month I’ll have a challenge target of £565.14 to hit. This may be a struggle as I’m away for half the month so it looks like I’ll have to list a lot more items in the latter part of April to try and hit my challenge target.

Wish me luck!

Andrew
